Winter Sports Registration & Information

CLMS Winter


Middle school winter sports includes boys and girls basketball for 7th and 8th grade, swimming for grades 6-8 and wrestling, also for grades 6-8. 


Tryouts for girls basketball will take place on Thursday & Friday, November 18th & 19th from 2:30pm-4:30pm. Boys basketball tryouts will take place on Monday & Tuesday, November 22nd and 23rd from 2:30pm-4:30pm.

First practices will begin on November 29th.
Monday 11/29: Girls 2:40-4:05pm / Boys 4:10-5:30 pm
Tuesday 11/30: Boys 2:40-4:05 pm / Girls 4:10-5:30pm
Wednesday 12/1: Boys 2:40-4:05 pm / Girls 4:10-5:30pm
Thursday 12/2: Boys 2:40-4:05 pm / Girls 4:10-5:30 pm
Friday 12/3: Boys 2:40-4:05 pm (alternating)
Coaches will let you know the practice schedule after tryouts. Parents will need to arrange transportation home after practices.

Game schedules will be coming out soon and will be found on the CLMS Athletics website.

First practice is tentatively set for Monday, November 29th. 

Practices will be Mon-Thurs, 5:30pm-7pm at Waterford High School in the wrestling room. Practices are subject to change. Coach Giori will keep students/parents up to date on any changes.

Swim season will run from Monday, November 22nd - Saturday, January 29th (subject to change)

First practices will take place on Monday, November 22nd and Tuesday the 23rd from 3pm-5pm. All practices are at the WHS pool.

From 11/29 - 1/29 (Practices Subject to Change): M, W & Th. 4pm-5:30 pm. Saturday: 10-11:30 am.

Meets will be available on the CLMS Athletics website when available.

Spectators at all indoor events are required to wear a mask and physically distance themselves as much as possible. Spectator limits/capacity are subject to DPH recommendations and may change at any time.

In order to participate, you MUST register and be cleared prior to November 18th for basketball and prior to November 29th for swimming and wrestling. In order to be cleared for participation, there must be a current physical examination form signed by a physician on file in the nurse’s office.  Physical exams are valid for 13 months from the date of the physical.  If the student’s physical expires during the season, the student will not be allowed to participate in sports until an updated physical exam form is submitted directly to the nurse’s office. 

Clark Lane Middle School sports registration can only be done online through our partner company, FamilyID. CLMS Sports Registration Link.

FamilyID is a secure online registration platform that provides you with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our athletic program, and helps us to be administratively efficient and environmentally responsible.  When you register through FamilyID, the system keeps track of your information in your FamilyID profile so you enter your information only once for multiple student athletes and multiple sports programs. 

Information Needed to Register:

It will be helpful to have the following information handy to allow for accurate completion of your online registration:

·         Current physical exam date on file with the nurse’s office

·         Physician Information

·         Health Insurance Information

Follow these steps:

The program's landing page, or main page, will show a description of the program with a blue Register Now button located below. You can either select the Register Now button or just simply scroll down the page until you see the blue header that says Sections to kick off your registration process. Select the Section of your choice.

Create your secure FamilyID account by entering your name, email address twice, a password twice, and checking the  I agree to the FamilyID Terms of Service box. Then select the blue Create Account button. To start using your FamilyID account, you will first need to activate it. Please check your inbox for the Activation Instruction email.  The email will have a clickable link which will allow you to activate and log into your new account. Once you click the activation link, you will be automatically logged into your account where you can begin the registration process. 

Proceed to Participant Information and fill in all required fields on the form (anything with a red asterisk is required). The participant is the person who is registering for the program. 

When you have completed the form, click the blue Continue button .

A summary of the registration will be displayed. In order to complete your registration, click the Submit button and complete your registration. 

When you have successfully submitted your registration, you will see a summary page of your registration that states 'REGISTRATION STATUS: COMPLETED'. You will also receive a confirmation email to the email address associated with your FamilyID account. Your information will now be saved in the system for future use.
