Below is a list of various clubs and activities open to students at CLMS. Specific starting and meeting dates will be announced as they are known. Students will sign up with the advisor and receive a permission slip and other pertinent information. Please contact the advisor with any questions.

Rubik's Cube ClubHeather JoynerThis is club meets regularly after school on Mondays. I will annouce which Mondays soon. Watch the announcements!! Morning Announcements ClubEd TorresMorning announcements club allows students to be part of the daily announcements. The club meets after school so that students can be trained to be an anchor or part of the tech crew. The club also discusses and tests new ideas to be implemented into the announcements.TBDClub meets in M120 usually on Mondays.

Math CountsHeather JoynerA national middle school mathematics competition that builds problem solving skills and fosters achievement. Perler Beads ClubAmanda DeojayStudents will use Perler Beads to create various pieces. Weekly themes are provided, and are optional. Space is limited to 12-15 students (no more than 15) each week. Participation varies weekly. Students can sign up (once the club starts) in L200 starting on Mondays of every week. Art ClubMrs. Provo-ParkerArt Club provides students who have an interest in art, an opportunity to explore art beyond what is offered in the curriculum. Students will work individually and in groups.Art Club will meet on Mondays. Our first meeting is Monday, September 26, 2022. GSAMark Higgins, Erin HellerThe CLMS GSA (formerly known as the gay straight alliance) provides support for students who are personally exploring (or who have family members/friends that are dealing with) issues regarding sexuality and gender identity. Students who identify as members of the LGBTQIA community and those who consider themselves allies are encouraged to attend. We cover topics such as self-acceptance, and bullying/harassment as well as historic and contemporary issues facing LGBTQIA people. Additionally the group strives to build a greater awareness of the LGBTQIA community here at CLMS and within the larger Waterford Public School System. Every other Tuesday starting Sept. 27th Library

Stress Free ClubAngela KoningStress Free club focuses on managing stress in the student life. We explore stress management techniques and options for students to seek assistance when needed at school and home. Each session a new option or technique is given and time to implement the given options is given. Such options include calming down and relaxation through: music, coloring, puzzles, talking, physical activity, art, and reading. Hogwarts ClubAngela KoningExplore and participate in Harry Potter/ Hogwarts activities, while building friendships based on similar interests. Various Hogwarts themed activities are planned to engage students and build new friendships within the school environment. Jazz Band(s)Aaron RobargeJazz band ensembles are performing groups for students wishing to learn more about jazz styles in music and improvising. Students are given specific instruction for their instruments as well as skills for soloing and writing their own solos. Astronomy ClubLee Rocha Jr.The Astronomy club is focused on introducing students to the night sky, how to navigate it, and the wonders of space! The club will meet on Monday afternoons. Students will learn about stars, planets, galaxies, black holes and other celestial objects. They will also have the chance to view some of these objects, when conditions permit, through telescopes, lern how to operate telescopes, and potentially how to take photos using them!Mondays afterschoolS109Telescope viewing will not happen weekly!

Card ClubLori HauserThe card club is for students who like playing card games such as Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, Uno, etc. Students should bring their own cards for Pokemon and Magic the Gathering or any other specific game they wish to play.
