Registration for CLMS Track & Field will open Friday, March 15th at 6pm.

Based on previous registration numbers, there may be a cap placed on the total number of students allowed on the CLMS track team. This cap ensures that resources are appropriately allocated and that each participant receives adequate supervision and instruction. Priority will be given to 8th graders to ensure these students have ample opportunities to engage in sports activities before transitioning to high school.

Please be aware that not all students may be able to attend away meets. Registration numbers and available resources will determine the feasibility of taking the entire team to away competitions. Priority might be given to students who have demonstrated commitment, skill or seniority within the program. These measures are implemented to ensure a fair and effective sports program while considering practical limitations.

First practice Monday, April 15th. There will be a mandatory meeting on April 3rd after school.

  2. Athletes are responsible for providing their own water. Water bottle filling stations are available at Clark Lane.  They may NOT be available at tracks during meets. Plan accordingly.
  3. The season runs from approximately April 15th-May 31st.
  4. There will be a mandatory meeting on April 3rd after school.
  5. A championship meet, for top athletes only, will be held in June.
  6. Calendars and other important information will be routinely updated in our Google Classroom. It is your responsibility as an athlete to check the Google Classroom.
  7. As a student-athlete, you are expected to maintain good grades, attendance, and behavior.

PRACTICES:

  1. Practices will be held after school until 3:45pm at Clark Lane on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Fridays. Some days may change due to faculty meetings or track meets.
  2. We may hold a few practices at the high school. Students would need to be picked up from the high school at 4pm on these days. Notice will be given before these practices occur.
  3. Athletes should report immediately to the field house to change when the bell rings.
  4. Athletes can take the late bus home Monday-Wednesday or be picked up. On Friday's parent pick up at 3:45pm is REQUIRED as there is no late bus. Athletes should be picked up by the athletic fields if not taking the late bus.
  5. In case of inclement weather, practice MAY be cancelled or we may have practice indoors in the fieldhouse.  LISTEN for an announcement at school and/or check our Google Classroom.
